Vampire Held

A Court needs more than a Sire to survive.

Nico has a throne, three vampires, and a chronic illness that doesn’t care how much his men need him. The Hellebore Court is growing—new projects, new alliances, new problems—and Nico is determined to lead differently than every Sire before him. But his men are restless. Power is rising between them in new ways, and Nico can feel the tension pulling at the bonds in his heart even as he tries to hold everyone together.

A vampire needs to know where he stands.

Dimitri has always been the strongest. The first. The most devoted. But devotion doesn’t count for much when the others are catching up and Nico keeps expanding toward new threats. Now, something is changing inside him—something impossible, something that shouldn’t coexist with the bond he refuses to surrender. It threatens his bond with Nico, and he needs to understand what he’s becoming before it costs him the one thing he can’t afford to lose.

But power shared is not power divided.

The bonds inside Nico’s Court are multiplying in ways that have never been seen before, because no Sire has ever given his vampires a reason to stay and grow rather than fight and flee. Nico isn’t stronger than what’s coming for him. He isn’t faster or fiercer or more terrifying. All he has is the strange and stubborn belief that his men are worth more together than apart.

And it may make all the difference.
