Friday Update 1/10/25

Oooh, a little late on this Friday Update because the day really got away from me. My reminder popped up at 7 and I went EEP!

This week I received the first assignment for my scifi craft class. I pondered the brief over the weekend, then wrote a short story Monday/Tuesday. It’s formatted and printed out for my editor to take on Monday for critique.

The rest of the week has been admin work. I did some newsletters in advance so I won’t have to worry about them while I’m gone, published a preorder for February, another for March, and worked on my backlog of audio stories. I’ve also expanded my monthly publishing to include early access on my website including an audio copy!

A lot of small tasks have been swept off the forever-expanding to-do list including going through old email, reviewing an interesting Audio contract, and confirming final files for the Hellebore Vampire prequel cover art.

Next week I will be writing a lot of new work very quickly. With some luck, they’ll be short stories I can submit to magazines or the starts for some fun scifi series in the future.
